1. Overview
Glyph Engine runs local symbol and emoji matching on your device after setup. We don't collect personal information, run analytics, or operate any servers. The app only makes outbound network requests in two cases: a one-time matching model download when you choose to set up local matching, and optional custom SVG generation calls to QuiverAI when you use the Generate Custom Symbol panel.
2. What stays on your device
The following data lives on your device, inside the app's sandbox, and is never transmitted by Glyph Engine:
- Matching queries you type
- Sketches you draw
- The downloaded matching model and on-device index
- Your remaining SVG Pack credit balance
- App preferences and the global hotkey configuration
The app does not include any analytics SDK, crash reporter, or metrics endpoint.
3. Network use
When you choose to set up local matching, the app downloads the matching model from a public model host so that SF Symbol and emoji matching can run on your device. After the download completes, matching works offline.
If you use the Generate Custom Symbol panel, the app sends your sketch, reference image, or prompt directly from your device to QuiverAI's API. We do not proxy, log, or otherwise see these requests.
4. In-app purchases
SVG Pack credits are sold through the App Store as one-time in-app purchases. Apple handles the transaction; Glyph Engine never sees your payment information. The app receives a purchase confirmation from the App Store and updates your credit balance locally.
5. Third-party services
If you use custom SVG generation, your input and a short prompt are sent to QuiverAI. Their privacy practices apply to those requests.
The matching model download is fetched from a public model repository as an anonymous HTTP request; no personal data is sent with it.
6. Children
Glyph Engine is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone of any age.
7. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at glyphengine.app/privacy with a new "Last updated" date.
